The IT Infrastructure team is the backbone of a government ministry's digital ecosystem, supporting a wide range of critical systems that serve both citizens and businesses. Our team ensures these systems run reliably and securely through robust infrastructure support and enterprise-wide tools such as Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Privileged Identity & Access Management (PIAM), and proxy services. As an intern with our team, you will get hands-on exposure to real-world government IT infrastructure at scale. You will contribute to exciting initiatives such as implementing Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability solutions that give us deep visibility into system health, building AI agents to enhance operational efficiency, and developing automation pipelines that reduce manual toil and improve reliability

Learning Outcomes

- Gain hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, including security and access management tools used in a large-scale government environment. - Learn how to deploy Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability solutions to monitor system health and diagnose performance issues across complex IT systems. - Develop practical skills in building AI agents and automation scripts to streamline IT operations and reduce manual effort. - Understand the principles and practices of IT infrastructure security. - Gaining exposure to government IT governance, processes, and best practices.

Prerequisites

- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell). - Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, firewalls, proxies). - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting. - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS), DevOps tools, or monitoring/observability tools such as eG Monitor, Dynatrace. Prior experience with AI/ML concepts or automation frameworks is a bonus.
