Tech – Software Engineer: TradeNet

Singapore is highly dependent on trade, which contributes significantly to the national economy, generating more than SGD 10 billion in annual revenue and accounting for approximately 20% of GDP. TradeNet is a national Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) that plays a vital role in facilitating Singapore’s trade ecosystem. It processes import and export permits, supports the collection of duties and taxes, enables the regulation of controlled goods, and facilitates the tracking of goods movements. Given TradeNet’s critical role in Singapore’s economy and trade operations, it is essential that the system remains secure, reliable, and up to date. The team is therefore undertaking a modernisation of TradeNet to ensure that it can continue to meet evolving business, operational, and technological needs.
