Our Infrastructure Observability Tools comprise of multiple tools such as Dynatrace and AWS X-ray for application systems on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) hosted in Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and On-premises. These tools are developed to bring visibility, governance, intelligence to enhance reliability of Government digital services. Our aim is to enhance agencies’ visibility on their infrastructure mapped to the agreed Service Level Objectives by tracking and co-relating the Service Level Indicators from the infrastructure being monitored. Main scope would be to develop scripts to support implementation of the tool, onboarding of target servers and operations on systems using RedHat Enterprise Linux, Windows Servers or other distros.

Learning Outcomes

- Gain hands-on development experience in multiple cloud platforms apply cutting-edge tech stack (Cloud Infrastructure like AWS and Azure, Observability tools like Dynatrace and AWS X-ray). - Participate in end-to-end DevSecOps and Agile software delivery process. - Gain in-depth knowledge of cross-platform Command line interfaces (CLIs) development using Python and build a step-by-step approach to continuously and consistently code, build, test and release CI/CD pipelines with GitLab. - Gain in-depth knowledge of working with JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) and Yet Another Markup Language (YAML) as a lightweight data-interchange format to store and output configuration templates and reports. - Gain in-depth knowledge of Center for Internet Security (CIS) Benchmarks for various operating systems requirements.

Prerequisites

- Familiar with DevSecOps concepts such as CI/CD in cloud environment - Proficient in Python language. - Familiar with common Python packages will be advantageous. - Familiar with JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) and YAML data format. - Familiar with BaSH and PowerShell. - Comfortable working with configurable items in Linux and Windows operating systems. - Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks will be advantageous.
