Our team builds and maintains automation tooling that supports government application systems hosted on Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) infrastructure. We reduce manual operational toil, enforce governance standards, and identify where automation can replace repetitive work at scale. As an intern, you will work on real production tooling — not sandboxed demos. A core focus of this internship is AI-augmented operations: applying modern AI techniques to make infrastructure management smarter, more proactive, and less dependent on manual intervention. What You'll Work On: - Developing Skills, Agents, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers that connect AI agents to operational data sources and enable intelligent anomaly detection, adaptive remediation, and natural-language interfaces to infrastructure runbooks - Building AI-augmented tooling in Python and TypeScript to support Operations Automation workflows - Collaborating with the team to integrate LLMs into real operational workflows for GCC-hosted environments - Getting exposure to how AI-augmented tooling interacts with underlying infrastructure automation (Ansible playbooks for OS audit/remediation, Terraform for infrastructure-as-code) across RHEL and Windows Server environments

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this internship, you will have: - Built and shipped AI-augmented tooling (Skills, Agents, MCP servers) in Python and/or TypeScript for real operational workflows - Gained hands-on experience integrating LLMs into infrastructure operations in a GCC-hosted environment - Gained exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP) and how MCP servers connect AI agents to operational data sources - Gained exposure to infrastructure automation practices (Ansible, Terraform) and how they interface with AI-driven tooling - Understood how to design and operate AI systems within strict security and governance constraints - Practised the full cycle of translating an operational pain point into a tested, production-ready AI-augmented solution

Prerequisites

What We're Looking For: - Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - Solid programming experience in Python and TypeScript - Genuine interest in AI agent development — building Skills, Agents, and MCP servers - Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in ambiguous, evolving technical environments - Ability to work within strict security and governance constraints (this is a government-linked environment) Nice to Have: - Familiarity with Ansible and/or Terraform - Scripting experience in Bash and/or PowerShell - Exposure to GCC AWS / Azure environments - Familiarity with GitLab (CI/CD) - Familiarity with Docker - Windows / Linux administration experience
