Work alongside engineers to enhance existing AI-enabled applications and conversational knowledge capabilities used within NCSS. Intern will contribute to improving existing features, knowledge retrieval and response quality, while developing new capabilities that improve application functionality and user experience. Interns will gain hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI application development, engineering automation.

Learning Outcomes

- Generative AI Application Development: Gain hands-on experience enhancing existing AI-enabled applications and implementing new AI capabilities using Large Language Models (LLMs). - AI Quality & Testing: Develop practical skills in evaluating AI responses, creating test frameworks, automating testing and improving application quality. - Knowledge & Conversational AI: Learn to improve knowledge ingestion, information retrieval, prompt design and response quality for existing conversational AI solutions.

Prerequisites

- Understanding of software development fundamentals, with programming knowledge in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and Next.js, familiarity with APIs, databases and version control (e.g. Git). - Knowledge in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-assisted development and software engineering.
