Developer Productivity & Services (DPS) supports products and services that improve how government developers build and deliver software. As a Product Operations intern, you will help us understand how developers experience and use our products, and turn customer and product data into meaningful insights for Product Managers. You will support the Developer Satisfaction Survey, analyse product adoption and customer feedback, and contribute to the DPS Customer Intelligence Framework. You will also help improve and automate recurring Product Ops processes such as product scorecards and management reporting. This internship provides exposure to Product Operations, business analytics, customer research and product strategy, working across multiple developer products and with Product Managers across DPS.

Learning Outcomes

- Business & Product Analytics: Learn to interpret product, survey and customer data to identify meaningful trends, opportunities and risks. - Customer Research: Gain hands-on experience coordinating and analyzing the Whole-of-Government Developer Satisfaction Survey and other customer feedback channels. - Insight Generation: Learn how to combine quantitative data with qualitative customer feedback to develop actionable product recommendations. - Product Operations: Understand how Product Ops supports Product Managers through customer intelligence, product reporting and operating rhythms. - Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to simplify and automate recurring Product Ops workflows.

Prerequisites

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in understanding the business meaning behind data. - Comfortable working with data and identifying trends, patterns and insights. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly. - Curious, organized and comfortable working with different stakeholders and product teams. - Experience with business analytics, data visualization, survey analysis or basic Python/SQL would be an advantage
