BookingSG is a whole-of-government booking platform that enables government agencies to easily set up and manage appointment and facility booking services through a single, configurable platform. Instead of building bespoke booking systems, agencies can self-configure and launch services quickly, while leveraging built-in capabilities such as rescheduling, cancellations, reminders and attendance management. BookingSG aims to reduce duplicated development and operational effort across government while providing citizens with a consistent and convenient booking experience across public services.

Learning Outcomes

- Gain hands-on experience in building and improving a large-scale digital product used across government agencies. - Learn how to translate user and agency needs into product requirements, features, and improvements. - Develop an understanding of designing configurable, reusable platform capabilities instead of bespoke solutions for individual users. - Gain exposure to the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including discovery, design, development, testing, launch, and iteration. - Learn to use data, user feedback, and operational insights to identify problems, evaluate solutions, and improve the overall booking experience.

Prerequisites

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and work with data - Good written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders - Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on operational matters - Comfortable using digital tools and learning new technologies; basic familiarity with AI tools for research, analysis, or productivity is beneficial - Prior experience or knowledge in product management, operations, user research, data analysis, or government digital services will be an advantage
