In Singapore, approximately 30-40% of the workforce is made up of foreigners. The SGWorkPass mobile app (https://www.mom.gov.sg/eservices/sgworkpass) is designed for work pass holders to scan the QR code of their work pass cards and access their identity information. Initially serving as a companion app to physical work pass cards, SGWorkPass is undergoing a transformation into a digital work pass for work pass holders. This transition will enable work pass holders to conduct transactions directly with the government, seek assistance, and verify their identity using the digital work pass.

Learning Outcomes

- Gain experience in building up product management skills. - Gain experience in applying the latest mobile tech stack and collaborating with developers. - Acquire hands-on experience in design thinking and agile methodologies to deliver impactful features for mobile projects that benefit the public. - Familiarize yourself with industry-standard tools such as GitLab and Figma for rapid prototyping and development of MVP/POC for new initiatives. - Acquire knowledge of business analysis and UI/UX design to translate user requirements into technical designs, while exploring new initiatives. - Gain in-depth knowledge of IT internal operations on day-to-day basis. - Gain hands-on experience provisioning and configuring in AWS Cloud. - Be an independent and impactful contributor to the team

Prerequisites

- Good communication skills - Good problem solving and analytical skills - Experience in one of the following languages (NodeJS, ReactNative) - Experience in UI/UX design tools (Figma) - Enthusiasm for learning and the opportunity to engage in various roles, including business analysis and development - Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and contribute innovative ideas - Ability to work effectively and independently under pressure, meet release timelines, multitask and to prioritise tasks effectively.
