Tech – Designer: LTA Digital Modernisation

Singapore’s land transport operations depend on large-scale digital systems to manage roadworks permits, licensing, and regulatory workflows that involve multiple agencies, external contractors, and operational teams. Many of these systems are built on legacy platforms and are undergoing a major modernisation effort. As a Designer Intern, you will be embedded in a GovTech–LTA squad under this LTA digital modernisation initiative. You will be assigned to either a discovery track or a product delivery track, depending on project needs and your strengths. In the discovery track, under the guidance of a design lead, you will conduct user research, map end-to-end journeys, and prototype new service experiences to help teams understand user pain points and shape future digital products. In the product delivery track, under the guidance of a design lead, you will work closely with engineers and product managers to refine and improve digital products—designing usable interfaces, validating designs through testing, and iterating based on real user feedback. You will work with actual operational users and stakeholders, contributing to digital services that directly support Singapore’s land transport ecosystem.
