We are seeking a Data Scientist Intern to join our Internal Audit team at GovTech. This role offers the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to apply data science, data engineering and software engineering techniques within internal audit to process data and identify trends and anomalies across various divisions of GovTech. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Business and IT auditors, contributing to various audit projects and helping to drive data-driven insights across all aspects of internal audit work.

Learning Outcomes

- Gain practical experience in applying data analytics and data science techniques in internal audit work. - Develop proficiency in using data analytics tools and programming languages in the working environment. - Gain hands-on development experience in solutioning and working with cutting-edge tech stack (Singapore Government Tech Stack, Cloud Infrastructure & Services Technology, Data Pipelines). - Gain exposure to end-to-end DevSecOps and agile software delivery process. - Gain insights into internal audit processes and corporate governance.

Prerequisites

- Support data-driven internal audit projects by assisting with identifying data sources relevant to audit objectives, designing and implementing data extraction and transformation processes. - Support the implementation of advanced analytics techniques by applying machine learning algorithm or generative AI techniques to detect anomalies or patterns in targeted audit advanced analytics projects. - Collaborate on continuous auditing initiatives by designing reusable scripts and functions for specific use-case testing and onboarding them onto a central analytics platform. - Create meaningful visualisations and reporting dashboards to communicate audit analytics results and findings effectively for ongoing monitoring. - Perform operations and maintenance tasks for production environment hosting production audit scripts.
