As a cross cutting capability uniting every Singpass vertical, the Singpass Data Platform team transforms isolated data into a single, high fidelity analytical ecosystem. We collaborate across every product domain within Singpass to eliminate information barriers and establish a robust data foundation, empowering everyone with the insights required to reinforce the trust and reliability of Singapore’s digital gateway

Learning Outcomes

- Learn to build and manage diverse data lifecycles, ranging from real-time streaming and API-driven ingestion to batch processing, ensuring a seamless flow from raw data to actionable insights. - Gain hands-on experience in architecting and managing scalable cloud infrastructure using industry standard IaC frameworks, learning how to treat data systems with the same rigour and version control as software applications. - Develop a deep understanding of securing large scale data ecosystems, implementing best practices for data security, encryption, and fine-grained access control to maintain user trust. - Experience the full data product lifecycle by collaborating directly with cross-functional users to translate complex operational requirements into high-fidelity data schemas and technical specifications.

Prerequisites

- Proficient in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript). - Familiarity with core cloud concepts and services, specifically within the AWS ecosystem. - Fundamental understanding of data engineering patterns, such as pipeline design and data orchestration. - Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders on technical requirements and data definitions. - Knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) will be an advantage.
