You’ll dive deep into real operational workflows, break down processes, and uncover opportunities to automate and optimise using technology. From building ETL pipelines on Databricks, to developing Python-based automation tools, to creating Tableau and web dashboards, you’ll work on end to end solutions that directly support data-driven decision-making. You’ll also gain hands-on exposure to AI-assisted coding, accelerating how you design, build, and troubleshoot innovative digital tools. Learning Outcomes

- Analyse workflows, break down processes, and identify automation opportunities - Build and optimise ETL pipelines on Databricks - Use Python and AI-assisted coding tools to develop automation scripts and workflow accelerators - Write and tune SQL for data preparation and transformation - Build Tableau dashboards and lightweight web-based dashboards (e.g., Streamlit, Dash) - Prepare analytics-ready datasets for finance reporting - Apply Agile and Design Thinking to build user-centric solutions - Collaborate with Finance teams to automate reporting, budgeting, reconciliation, and operational processes

Prerequisites

Technical Skills - Proficiency in Python and SQL - Familiarity with Tableau or interest in dashboard development - Interest in Databricks, ETL pipelines, and cloud data tools - Enthusiasm for AI-assisted coding tools (experience is a bonus) - Excel skills (VBA a plus) Personal Attributes - Analytical thinker with strong problem solving skills - Able to break down workflows and think systematically about automation - Curious, proactive, and eager to experiment with new tech - Collaborative and comfortable working with diverse stakeholders Soft Skills - Clear and confident communicator - Able to simplify complex technical concepts - Detail oriented and structured
