We welcome students from Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science/Analytics, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics and other relevant computing or quantitative disciplines from polytechnics and universities.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has hands-on experience with Python and data processing/data engineering, whether through coursework, school projects, internships or personal projects;
- Is comfortable working with datasets and enjoys making sense of complex, messy or inconsistent data;
- Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills and is able to systematically investigate data issues;
- Is interested in automation and in turning manual or one-off data-processing steps into repeatable solutions;
- Can work independently on well-defined tasks while proactively seeking guidance when needed
- Is comfortable communicating and collaborating with engineers and non-technical stakeholders; and
- Most importantly, is curious – about the data, why inconsistencies exist, how government ICT expenditure is represented, and how the underlying process can be improved.
Prior experience with Databricks is advantageous but not required. You will have opportunities to learn the platform and work with colleagues who can provide technical guidance during the internship.
