As part of GovTech's Cybersecurity Group, the intern will work with the Policy, Plans & Strategy Division to support strategic cybersecurity initiatives that strengthen engagement and collaboration across the wider cyber ecosystem. A key focus will be STACKx Cybersecurity, GovTech's flagship cybersecurity conference, where the intern will contribute to shaping programme content, coordinating with stakeholders and partners, and supporting the delivery of the event. Beyond STACKx Cybersecurity, the intern will gain exposure to areas such as cyber strategy, governance, resilience, emerging threats and Whole-of-Government cybersecurity initiatives. Through a combination of research, programme development and hands-on execution, the intern will gain a unique perspective on how cybersecurity strategy is translated into initiatives that engage and strengthen Singapore's public sector cyber community.

Learning Outcomes

- Understand how cybersecurity strategies, policies, and capability-building initiatives are developed and delivered across the Whole-of-Government ecosystem. - Gain exposure to key cybersecurity domains such as cyber governance, cyber resilience, threat landscape developments, risk management, and national cybersecurity initiatives through involvement in programme planning and stakeholder engagement. - Develop programme and project management skills by supporting the planning and execution of cybersecurity conferences, workshops, and engagement initiatives involving public sector, industry, and international stakeholders. - Build stakeholder management and professional communication skills through collaboration with government agencies, industry partners, speakers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver national-level cybersecurity initiatives. - Develop analytical and communication skills by synthesising cybersecurity topics, preparing programme materials, and evaluating event outcomes to support continuous improvement and strategic planning.

Prerequisites

- Strong interest in cybersecurity, technology, public policy, or related areas, with an eagerness to learn about cybersecurity strategy and Whole-of-Government cyber initiatives. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with different stakeholders. - Good organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment. - Resourceful, proactive and detail-oriented, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and contribute to both the planning and execution of cybersecurity programmes and initiatives. - Able to conduct research, synthesise information from multiple sources, and present findings in a clear and structured manner. - Preferred but not required: Prior knowledge or experience in cybersecurity, technology, public policy, programme/event management, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, or communications.
